Today I did my organizational interview with Carle Pharmacy's director, Greg. Last week, I had met with him briefly along with another intern and he had talked about how he had gotten into the business of pharmacy. He had begun as a pharmacist, but through some experience, he found that he prefered the buisness side better. So after he had given us the brief introduction, I asked him if I could go more in depth with my organizational interview. It worked out great, and it didn't take as long as I thought it would. For the second half of my day, Erica taught me a little about glucose testing meters. They are for people with diabetes and they are used to test blood sugar levels. After performing a test on herself, she told me that I would be teaching myself a bit about each brand and type of meter, and next week, I'll be testing myself as well as 3 of the employees here. I'm absolutely not looking forward to that. First of all, I don't want to prick myself, and second, I don't want to do it to someone else in case I mess up :( But I guess I'm gonna have to suck it up and just learn how to do it right!
