While I was gone from the office during spring break the SAO recieved a police report with 5,000 + documents attatched. My job is to scan all of these documents into their computer networking system. I've done some scanning at the high school so I wasn't too worried. So I was shown the options I needed to select on the copier and then I went at it.
The documents were seperated into separate packages, and placed in a box. I went through about 4 packages before I started getting this weird error message. It said the document transfer had failed. So I ask Janelle about it, and she has no idea what's going on either. So then we go through all the documents I had already scanned in and we find that the copier was only scanning a piece of what I was actually putting in the copier. No one knows what to do so we just call IT and left it at that.
I get really frustrated with myself and technology when things like this happens. Unfortunately this happens to me a lot.
Moral of the story is that I should just stay away from anything electronic from this point forward.
