Something New!!!!! (2/7/11)

Last week Neil told me to see him on monday because he had a surprise for me. It's monday and i was a little nervous but also excited. When i got to the firm i first started by pulling files and putting engagement letters up. The last thing in my bin was a W2 and it said see Neil on it. I go in to his office and he tells me that he wants me to learn how to do a simple tax return. I got so excited. He showed me the program and that i need to fill in the personal information and then put the W2's in. I started filling in personal information and i notice the persons birthday wasn't on it so i had to look under their parents forms to get it. After i had found it i finished filling in what i needed but i was stuck because i didn't know how to enter the about on the form, but i had Neil show me and every turned out good. I was happy i didn't wanna mess up on it. That took up most of the afternoon but i was happy i got to learn something new. The purpose of me learning how to do a tax return is to help them get through things faster and it's an excellent experience for me. I hope to be doing more in the future.
