GBs: Guide Books
This week was amazing. On thursday, I had a meeting with my sponsor. We went over the clip book and plans for new projects. Friday afternoon, I had a lot of fun with my sponsor and her coworkers, Cory and Kip. We went to deliver some GBs in downtown Champaign and green street. It was random and awkward because I had to ask different people at different location if they were interested in having the GBs displayed in their office. They also had to give us their names so we would add them if they were not in it. Some people were excited about it while others said "NO THANK YOU". Since it was cold outside, I was kind of upset that some people were being mean. We delivered 13,ooo GBs which was a great success. On our way back to the office, we asked each other random questions to know more about each other. Kip and Cory practiced their french with me. The energy in the office has come back to normal, which is the way I saw it when I first came in. On Monday, I had to work on finding information on companies that are being sponsored by the CVB and correct them if they were incorrect. I also learn that we are having a sport meeting next Wednesday but sadly I would not be able to attend because I would be at school at that moment. So far, everything is doing great and I am currently working on updating the company's website, facebook page, twitter, and adding new elements on the clip book. It seems like nothing but I would not get my hopes up. I would see how it would go but hope that I get this done before the end of next week. Working in this environment made me realize that the most important element in your work is the people around you. They impact your work more than you do. I am so excited and cannot wait to see what next week would be like.
