Working in the internal medicine rotation I was able to restrain cats and dogs for ultrasound, blood drawings, shots, collecting urin samples, and watched x-rays on both cat and dogs (D). A side from the animals, I am very happy with all of the students and veterinaians I have met (F). Thanks to them, I not only have learned about animals but also about the veterinary program, I have seen the anatomy room (all first year vet students have classes there), the different animal cadavers that can be found (cows, bulls, horses, sheep, ect). I have also learned that there are over 3,000 different articles that a board exam (an exam that a veterinary student must take to be an official veterinarian) includes. The exam is very specific in each question which is why students have a difficult time becoming veterinarians. Even after knowing that vet students take various big exams, spend late night studying and caring for each patient, and at least have eight years of college I still will continue to strive to be a veterinarian. Being able to work with animals makes every day extrordinary, which is why it is worth all of the hard work (A).
