This week was pretty uneventful. All three days I filled prescriptions, and worked at the register. I learned a few new things on the computer, like how to find a patients room number, which is necessary when they are a take-home patient. A take-home patient is someone who was staying in the hospital and is ready to go home, and the nurse or doctor writes a prescription that needs to get tubed up to the room. That saves the patient from the time and frustration that they might have waiting in the clinic.
On Tuesday, the local news came in to interview someone about forged prescriptions. When I watched the news that night, I caught a glimpse of my head a few times. Also, my original sponsor, Erica, came back from her one month maternity leave. I didn't spend any time following her though because the pharmacy was extremely busy this week, and I simply helped with the workload [D]. I'm glad I could be useful to the clinic [F].
