FEPA- local and state agencies one can file to if they feel they have been discriminated against in the work force. Illinois' is Illinois Department of Human Rights.
Today was definitely a lot more busy, therefore more entertaining then yesterday. Shayla had several small projects already planned for me when I got in. One was a case that I had previously worked on. I had to fill out an FEPA form for the client. This was pretty straight forward except for a couple questions. One of the questions asked for specific information that the file I had did not have. I decided to see if the client's employer's office would give it to me. Their customer service line was really rude which only adds to their terrible reputation. I didn't get the information, but it was fun because I had to be a little sneaky in the way I had to ask for the information. I think the person on the other line was just too lazy to look up the information. The next small assignment was basically copying some check stubs, but I messed it up because they had to go back in a specific order in this huge packet. Eventually I fixed it though haha. Overall I can tell I'm learning to be more proactive in the assignments I'm given, because I was the one who suggested to Shayla that I call the employer. Today was a good day.
